Inside NZ’s leading annual dairy publication

Dairying by Design NZ (DDNZ) is a specialist niche annual publication designed to be a meaty addition to the kitchen table or the toilet (where, let’s face it many big decisions are made).

It is published by Three Corners Media, and designed for the operations who are pushing for the next level, or who are curious about their options. The strength of DDNZ is its content and longevity – off the back of an early decision to produce a single annual edition in full colour with a satin-finish. DDNZ will showcase new dairy sheds, dairy shed upgrades, effluent systems, barn projects, genetics, animal health, and innovation.

26,600 copies are being printed in 2026 with delivery by Rural Delivery to 26,054 dairy farmers nationwide – last week of September.

Opportunities

  • DDNZ is a specialist niche annual publication that is designed to be a meaty addition to the kitchen table or the toilet (where, let’s face it many big decisions are made). This read is for the operations who are pushing for the next level, or who are curious about their options. The full-colour satin-finish magazine deliberately courts readership longevity with its quality finish, and it will be circulated free to 26,054 New Zealand dairy farmers in 2026.

  • Three Corners Media (TCM) spends a lot of time getting into the heads of its advertisers. It makes sense that our team has some light-bulb marketing suggestions off the back of that work. TCM has the nous, and the graphics team to create meaningful brochures for businesses that hit the nail on the head.

  • Nothing freezes achievements in time like a commemorative read or booklet for your business. Sometimes we spend so much time running to build the business, there is no time to reflect. Let Three Corners Media help give you that pause and perspective. Because sometimes it’s as important to celebrate the milestones, as it is to run the race.

  • Tone and content matter. When you have a premium message, make sure you put it in safe hands. Three Corners Media delivers the right result.

  • Where to advertise and who to advertise with is more technical than it sometimes appears. If you want the right result, it pays to talk to the right person. Founding story

It can be done…

“If I had a dollar for every time someone told me it couldn’t be done…” – Dianna Malcolm, editor.

What started with a phone call has turned into something bigger than either Dianna or Lois imagined. Dairying by Design NZ was built to buck trends, celebrate rural New Zealand, and tell stories that matter.

What our clients say

  • A few months ago I had the absolute pleasure of catching up with Dianna Malcolm. It was a bit of a surreal moment - sitting down at her home, with the powerhouse, the legend, the pioneer, someone I have admired for so long, exactly 19 years after I spent the year in OZ + NZ. I guess a lot of life has happened since then… but one thing remains the same — Dianna is here setting the bar and lifting up the industry with her unique perspective once again .”

     – Candace Borland Uhren, Chief Executive Officer of Anomaly, Toronto (Canada) and Rapid Bay Jerseys.

  • "I can't say enough good things about my experience with Lois in advertising needs. For over 20 years, she has been my go-to for all my needs in a particular area and her service has always been nothing short of excellent. She has been incredibly obliging, always ready to put things right if there's ever an issue. I truly appreciate her personal touch; it feels like I'm talking to a friend rather than just a business contact. We always have good conversations and share a laugh, which makes every interaction enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and friendly service. She really knows how to make you feel valued!"

    - Julie Cridge, Cridge Seeds Ltd, Canterbury

  • “I’ve known Lois for a few years now, when she handled advertising with another publication. It was always an easy task to make an advert happen with Lois at the controls and she did so in a personable way, and always efficiently. I look forward to her doing the same for me in the future.”

    - Kevin Smith (P&Pd)

  • “If you're looking to partner with someone who truly understands the dairy industry, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone more skilled than Lois. She’s been around, done the hard yards, and knows exactly what resonates with farmers. Lois stays ahead of industry trends, delivers top-notch communication, and genuinely looks after her clients.”

    - Sarah Fraser - Dairy Technology Services (DTS)

  • Dianna/Mud Media is my go-to person for my writing. She is very obliging and gets a great storyline, that makes sense from my often-jumbled writing and brief – sometimes with little notice. Dianna excels in her field, and has a great knowledge and understanding of the cow industry we are all involved in, thus giving Ferdon greater exposure on the world stage!”

Michelle Ferguson, Ferdon Genetics (Otorohanga, NZL)
